Welcome to the CYF page
CYF meets from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. on Sunday evenings during which time they participate in group building activities, service projects, study, and/or fellowship.
CYF members develop leadership skills and church involvement by serving in worship (as deacons who help with the offering and communion during Sunday worship each week), as well as once a month serving as worship leader.
Our youth also serve on the Area Youth Ministry Council in the planning of area camps, conference, and retreats. CYF youth participate in the North Texas Area (of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)) Fall and Spring Rallies as well as summer camps and conferences. Each year, the CYF youth raise money to finance a work trip taken in the summer time. This is an active group with lots of opportunities for involvement and we welcome you to explore your faith journey with us.
